GCMx West Africa is an independent Global Changemakers Event organized by Youths Inspiration for West African Citizens. This two-day event is a virtual workshop-style event which aims at developing solutions to the most pressing problems of our time. Throughout the program, participants will get acquainted with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Design Thinking Methodology. The knowledge acquired from plenary sessions with guest speakers will then be used by each group of participants to develop solutions to the most pressing problems of our time.
Benefits of Participating
- Participants will learn the basics of Design Thinking and the origin, mission, and vision of the UN SDGs
- As a participant, you will have the chance to brainstorm on problems in society with other young changemakers from 18 other West African countries and come up with possible solutions at the end of this event.
- You will meet and connect with young changemakers from all over West Africa. This will be an opportunity to make new friends and form long-lasting connections that will help you grow in your journey.
- Participants who attend all sessions will be awarded a certificate of participation recognized by Youths Inspiration and Global Changemakers
